Powdersville Ensembles

What We Offer

Powdersville Concert Bands

The Powdersville Concert Bands consist of separate bands for grades 6 - 8 at Powdersville Middle School as well as a Freshman Band and Symphonic Winds Ensemble at Powdersville High School. The Concert Bands are the core of our band program and the foundation of all other ensembles.

Patriot Marching Band

The Powdersville Patriot Marching Band is a consistent award winning ensemble that competes locally and regionally in the South Carolina Band Directors Association and Bands of America. The Patriot Marching Band began in 2011 and is a three time state champion. The Patriot Marching Band consists of winds, brass, percussion, and color guard. Powdersville Jazz Bands

The Powdersville Jazz Bands include the PVMS Jazz Band and the PVHS Jazz Band. These bands are based on standard big band set ups and perform styles such as swing, rock, funk, latin, and much more. The Powdersville Jazz Bands perform at the SC Jazz Ensemble Performance Assessment and have had members selected into the SC All-State Jazz Bands.

Powdersville Winter Guards

The Powdersville Winter Guard program consists of two ensembles, JV Winter Guard and Varsity Winter Guard. These ensembles compete in the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association early in the spring semester. These students compete with movement

Powdersville Percussion

The Powdersville Percussion is an award winning Indoor Percussion Ensemble that competes in the Carolina Winter Ensembles Association. Powdersville Percussion consists of only battery percussion, mallet percussion, and auxiliary and electronic percussion instruments. 

Tri-M Honor Society

The Tri-M Honor Society is an honor society that contains members from the PVHS Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. Tri-M stands for 'Modern Music Makers' and the students use music as a philanthropy to bring joy to our school and community. Students have to meet strict criteria to be invited to be a member of the Tri-M Honor Society.
