Lindsay Kusmierczak

Lindsay Kusmierczak has been teaching in the pageantry arts for over 20 years. Currently, Lindsay is the Color Guard Director at Prosper High School, as well as the Color Guard Caption head for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle corps. Lindsay started marching in her high school color guard, which led her to auditioning and marching for Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps (2000-01), and continued her drum corps marching career at the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. She marched in the color guard (2002-2005) and winter guard (2007).

 

Lindsay has taught several drum corps including; The Bluecoats, The Phantom Regiment, The Blue Knights, The Glassmen, Southwind, and the Italian drum and bugle corps Millennium. She has taught both Bluecoats Indoor and Paramount independent, WGI World Class Finalists. Before moving to Texas, Lindsay was on the color guard staff for the BOA and WGI Finalist, Harrison High School. As a native of Southern Illinois, she also taught at O’Fallon Township High School, as well as several schools in the St. Louis metro area.

Lindsay is a firm believer and supporter of life-long learning. She is currently pursuing her second graduate degree at the University of North Texas, studying Learning Technologies. She also holds a Masters of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, as well as a degree in fine arts with a minor in art history from Northern Illinois University.
